About this video

We must move past the ‘isms’ that serve as barriers holding us back from a truly new way of work. The nature of work itself is fundamentally about the way people organize themselves, and how they make decisions in a group.

Stowe Boyd says the future of work looks something like this: small work groups, self-organizing teams, fewer top-down controls, less time spent keeping everyone moving in the same direction, and more diversity in the play of ideas. But we won’t get to that future if we continue to hold onto the ‘isms’ that govern the way we work now, such as work-ism and tech-ism.

About the Summit

The BIF Summit blends storytelling, co-creation, and random collisions of unusual suspects, creating the conditions for us together to imagine a better future. A future that represents a diversity of perspectives, views, identities and experiences across industries, sectors and disciplines.
