More Conversation. More Purpose.
For the last 14 years, BIF has hosted its annual BIF Collaborative Innovation Summit, bringing together over 30 storytellers each year to share personal narratives. The BIF Summit has always been more conversation than conference. It isn’t just about who attends or even who is up on stage, but it’s about catalyzing something bigger than any one of us. It’s about engaging and collaborating as a purposeful network to unleash the adjacent possible. That’s why Forbes named it one of the, “Top 5 Conferences that will Expand Your Mind (and Your Network)”.
This year, in order to increase our collective impact we must add new elements to our Summit experience and community tool kit, we need to get better at making our self-organized networks more purposeful, and for this reason we are starting small, with just 100 people joining us in-person. Inspired by the work of our new business model prototype, Personalized Medicine by Design, we will be using human centered design, rapid prototyping, and storytelling and engagement, all in service of social impact.
#BIF2019: Wellbeing will include a mixture of storytelling, design sprints, share-outs, and networking. Our collective output will help unleash new system solutions to be prototyped in the real world. Summit storytellers and participants will represent a diversity of perspectives, views, identities and experiences across industries, sectors and disciplines. A focus on wellbeing pushes us all to go beyond the usual healthcare suspects and silos to open up new transformative solution horizons and approaches. The intimate in-person event will bring together 100 participants and take place at BIF headquarters in Providence, RI. We will combine the in-person experience with and open access virtual platform to engage a larger motivated community remotely, and in real-time directly into the Summit experience.
