Happy Thanksgiving from the Business Innovation Factory

olpc.bmpOn behalf of the Business Innovation Factory, I'd like to extend our best wishes for a happy thanksgiving. In the spirit of giving, I'd also like to remind everyone that there are only 6 days left to participate in OLPC's Give One Get One program. During this time, you can donate the XO laptop to a child in a developing nation, and also receive one for your use in recognition of your contribution. The cost is $399 and $200 of your donation is tax-deductible.

For anyone unfamiliar, One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is MIT Media Lab director and co-founder Nicholas Negroponte's dream to empower the children of developing countries to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. I blog about this because I can only imagine the revolutionary new business models we'll see once these kids receive the education they deserve. I bought two last week and will be donating my laptops to my children's elementary classrooms. (With a nod to Negroponte, I'm calling my donation One Laptop Per Classroom.)

To learn more, watch the inspiring talk Negroponte gave at TED last year and then head to LapTopGiving to make your donation.
