Announcing the BIF-3 Blogjam!

All of the storytellers at our upcoming BIF-3 Summit share an irrepressible and near infectious trait - a passion for what they do. It’s the stuff that makes them different from regular working folk and propels them ever forward. To help capture their stories and experiences, I’m happy to announce that the Business Innovation Factory will host the 2nd annual BIF-3 Blogjam. Each one of our guest bloggers are experienced and insightful innovation practitioners who also wield a mighty pen.

Please join us online at the BIFSpeak blog on October 10th and 11th when a group of really interesting people will gather together under one roof to share some personal stories about innovation. We'll be posting live throughout the day. Don't miss it!

RELATED COMMENTARY

And then there's me - curator and primary blogger for the Business Innovation Factory. I'm a sucker for well-written conference recaps. Many of our guest bloggers are returning for a second year primarily because they're great writers. (Welcome to our new members - you're in for a treat.)

Time is precious and many of us just aren't in the position to travel the country and attend conferences. BIF-3 is different. Someone asked me recently why he should attend the summit. My answer is this: All too often, in both our personal and professional lives, we find ourselves playing defense. We defend our position, we defend against competition, we defend our intellectual property. You get the gist. Yet innovation is on the offense - it forces us to look outward. It depends on complex, continually changing streams of information that can't be contained by any one source.

BIF-3 is a rare opportunity to leave the confines of our nest and spend some time meeting crazy fascinating people from all walks of life. It's about the power of developing and nurturing interpersonal relationships. All company pitchs and new product ideas are checked at the door. And don't expect to hear much of anything around business process either. BIF-3 is about great people telling great stories. Looking forward to meeting you there.
