Get Ready for BIF-3!

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. During that time, I attended a symposium on vocation education (my thoughts from that to be posted later this week) and, I've been actively recruiting storytellers for our 3rd annual Collaborative Innovation Summit Our line-up is nearly complete and I'm thrilled with the group of people who have agreed to come and share their stories. They are talented, dynamic and proven innovators from all walks of life.

Some people you're probably familiar with - like Mark Cuban or Steven Johnson. Others, like Robin Chase or Euan Semple, may be new, but no less interesting. And that's really the point of our annual summit. Casual, comfortable, inspired, powerpoint-free conversations directed by some bright folks who will share their journeys behind various breakthrough insights.

Here's the slate of confirmed storytellers:

Entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban Ghost Map author and co-creator of outside.in Steven Johnson founder of Zipcar and GoLoco Robin Chase author and Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen 37signals founder and CEO Jason Fried IBM vice president of Technology Strategy and Innovation Irving Wladawsky-Berger MIT AgeLab director Joseph F. Coughlin Icosystem CEO and chief scientific officer Eric Bonabeau Studiocom chief creative officer Juan Fernando Santos information architect Richard Saul Wurman BzzAgent founder and CEO Dave Balter Tellart co-founder and creative director Matt Cottam Made to Stick author Dan Heath founder of the gethuman project Paul English Linear Air president and CEO William Herp author and associate professor UC-Davis Graduate School of Management Andrew Hargadon TopCoder founder and chairman Jack Hughes former head of Knowledge Management for the BBC Euan Semple

This place we create each year is an intersection of different fields, cultures and disciplines. Join us on October 10th and 11th and plan on making your own new connections and discoveries.

Stay tuned, additional speakers will be added soon. And over the coming weeks, much of this blog will be dedicated to storytelling - return often to learn more about the innovators who will be taking center stage.
