The Hyper-Social Organization

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Facebook. Twitter. YouTube. LinkedIn. Unless you're living in the Stone Age, it's hard to ignore all the social networking tools that have taken the world by storm. To keep up - and stay competitive - you need to rethink how your organization interacts with this brave new world. You need to stop marketing to consumers and start socializing with communities. You need to understand the power of social media—and use it to your best advantage.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2011 author and Human 1.0 co-founder Francois Gossieaux will visit the BIF community to share highlights from his  book The Hyper-Social Organization. Francois will share how leading companies like FedEx, jetBlue, Dell, Best Buy, Microsoft and others leverage "human hyper-sociality" to gain game-changing competitive advantage. He'll discuss the risks associated with participating (and not participating) in social media and help you assess your employees' and customers' readiness to participate.

The book is based on the "Tribalization of Business Study" - a wide-ranging annual survey conducted by Francois Gossieaux of Human 1.0 and Ed Moran of Deloitte that looks at how companies leverage and measure progress and success of their social media and community-based programs. Now in its third year, the study has documented the case studies of over 1,000 companies.
