Mickey Ackerman Joins Business Innovation Factory’s Board of Directors
Teamwork is the key to innovation, and Mickey Ackerman has made it his mission to help you to understand that. As an internationally recognized design leader, Business Innovation Factory’s Chief Design Strategist Mickey Ackerman has spent decades teaching designers how to define problems clearly, then meet those challenges through multidisciplinary teamwork. Now, as the newest member of the Business Innovation Factory Board of Directors, he assumes as well the role of ambassador for the organization’s team of human-centered, system-thinking co-creators.
BIF’s founder and Chief Catalyst, Saul Kaplan is delighted to add Mickey to the Board of Directors, noting that “Mickey has been involved with the Business Innovation Factory since its very inception in 2004, he has remained at our side ever since and continues to bring fresh thinking to the organization, I’m grateful to have him join our Board.”
Mickey observes with pride that BIF is “a powerful mechanism for redefining concepts of collaboration, communication, creative thinking, and customer service and, most importantly, what it means to be a sustainable innovator.” During 15 years spent as the head of the Industrial Design department at the Rhode Island School of Design, Mickey established a portfolio of sponsored projects, created real-world design solutions and established strategic partnerships for industry leaders. Now, as he begins to expand his participation in the BIF success story, we are surprised and pleased to find ourselves even more awestruck by him than ever.
