Ivy Ross' New Challenge: Bridge the Gap Between Wearable Tech and Fashion

Today Ivy Ross started her new job as the head of Google Glass, where her challenge is to "make the wearable technology marketable to the style-conscious masses."  As a BIF2 storyteller, Ivy shared with us her experience of "walking in both worlds: creative and corporate," as an innovator at Mattel, and of rapidly bringing her Old Navy team up to speed by fostering connections, relationships, and trust.

She shared these thoughts about her new Google Glass job via Google+:

I’m excited to be joining Google on Monday, May 19 to lead our Glass efforts. With your help, I look forward to answering the seemingly simple, but truly audacious questions Glass poses: Can technology be something that frees us up and keeps us in the moment, rather than taking us out of it? Can it help us look up and out at the world around us, and the people who share it with us? I have spent my career...at the intersection of design and marketing, trying to answer questions like this in different ways, for different products.
