Patient Experience Lab Field Update: Using Capability Mapping to Make New Models for Care

How do you make a new business model that creates, delivers, and captures value for primary care? BIF recently conducted workshops with part of the population health team and My Children's team at Children's Medical Center-Dallas. Experience Designer, Lindsey Messervy, explains that BIF starts capability mapping by looking at how a current business model delivers value and where there are gaps. Then, BIF explores the organization's capabilities, including the people, processes and technologies that are at their disposal to deliver value.

We will use this phase of research to repurpose their capabilities in service of new models that better serve patients' needs.
