BIF Collaborative Innovation Summit

Each year BIF hosts a national gathering of amazing people from all walks of life to share their personal story. Now in its sixth year, the BIF Collaborative Innovation Summit is much more a conversation than a conference. Over two days, more than two dozen people will take the stage and replace canned presentations with something personal. There are absolutely no panels or talking heads, no infomercials or powerpoints, just very personal stories from people who combine passion, creativity, smarts and discipline to get things done in new and valuable ways.

Best of the BIF Summit

Since the first BIF Summit, we've heard stories from more than 150 innovators from across every sector and discipline. Hard to believe that we are gearing up for our sixth Summit. Even more amazing is that 1697 people have been in the audience for at least one of these gatherings. It was hard to do, but after lots of discussion and debate, we've picked 16 stories that the BIF team find especially memorable, moving, or simply stunning. We've put them together in this collection as a way to look back.

Past BIF Summits

BIF-5

BIF-5 took place on October 7-8, 2009 at Trinity Rep in Providence, R.I. and was co-hosted by Bruce Nussbaum and Bill Taylor.

BIF-4

BIF-4 took place on October 15-16, 2008 at Trinity Rep in Providence, R.I. and was co-hosted by Bruce Nussbaum and Bill Taylor.

BIF-3

On October 10-11, 2007 BIF-3 took center stage at Providence's Trinity Rep, with Wall Street Journalist Walt Mossberg and Mavericks at Work author Bill Taylor in the hosting hot seat.

BIF-2

BIF-2 was held on October 4-5, 2006 at Trinity Rep in Providence, RI and was hosted by Richard Saul Wurman and Walt Mossberg.

BIF's inaugural get together was held on October 19-20, 2005 at the Hotel Providence in Providence, RI and was hosted by John Seely Brown and Richard Saul Wurman.
