BIF-4 Scholarships
Each year, BIF offers a limited number of full and partial scholarships to students, young entrepreneurs and community development professionals.
In 2007, BIF offered 25 scholarships to local, regional, national and international applicants from academia and the public and private sectors.
Who should apply?
Scholarship recipients are individuals who will benefit from and contribute to the BIF-4 experience.
Recipients must demonstrate that they have the capability to bring what they learn at the summit back to their community or organization or substantively use the experience to strengthen their work.
Eligibility
- Student applicants must be enrolled in a degree granting institution (high school students are eligible)
- Non-student applicants must be actively engaged in pursuits where participation in the Summit delivers a demonstrable benefit to the applicant’s work.
- Applicants having previously received a full scholarship are eligible only for a partial scholarship in 2008.
Requirements
- Applicants must submit a 500 word summary of their qualifications to BIF by July 16, 2008.
- Summary must be sent via email as a word document or PDF to Melissa Withers at mwithers@businessinnovationfactory.com.
- Email application should also include the applicant’s name, contact information, and any organizational affiliation germane to the application.
- Applicant may also elect to include any other relevant background information either about the applicant or the applicant’s organization.
- Scholarships will be awarded by August 1, 2008.
