General

The BIF-4 Summit will take place at Providence's Trinity Rep. The Summit will begin at 8:30am sharp on both days and all participants must register before entering the theater. Please plan to arrive as early as possible to the theater and remember to leave time for traffic and parking. Continental breakfast will be served both days beginning at 7:30am. Dress is casual.

Airports

T.F. Green Airport (Local)
Located 10 miles south of Providence, just off Exit 13 on Interstate Route 95, T.F. Green Airport is accessible to Boston, Cape Cod and Southeastern New England It offers more than 160 direct flights via major carriers. For more information, see www.pvdairport.com.

Shuttle service
The distance from T.F. Green Airport to the downtown area is 9 miles. The airport shuttle is available 7 days a week from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. The shuttle leaves the airport every hour on the hour. From the hotels they leave every hour on the ½ hour. After 7:00 pm reservations for the shuttle are required from the city only. The cost of the shuttle is $11.00 each way. Logan Airport (International)

Train Service

Providence is located on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor between Washington DC/New York City and Boston. High speed Acela Express train service transports passengers from New York City to Providence in about two and a half hours. For tickets call 1-800-USA-RAIL or visit www.amtrak.com.

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) runs low cost commuter trains to Providence from Boston and other points in Massachusetts. Call 1-800-392-6100 or visit www.mbta.com for schedules and fares.

Bus Service

Bonanza (888-751-8800 or www.bonanzabus.com) and Greyhound (800-231-2222 or www.greyhound.com) have stations in the Providence area. For local public transportation, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) runs buses and trolleys statewide (800-244-0444 or www.ripta.com).

Located at the intersection of I-95 and I-195, Providence is 40 miles from Boston (about a one hour car ride) and 185 miles from New York City (about three hours by car).

From the South
To reach the theater from the South, take 95 north to the Broadway exit (Exit 21) and bear right before the light as you come off the exit ramp. Continue through another light, where you will see the Holiday Inn and the Civic Center on your left. The road curves to the right and at the next light (Fountain Street) you will see the back of the theater where there are two large wire theater masks fixed to the back wall.

From the North
When coming from the north, take 95 South to the Atwells Avenue exit (Exit 21). Turn left at the light, and cross over 95. You will see the Holiday Inn and Civic Center on your left. Turn left at the second light and you will see the back of the theater with the wire theater masks hanging on the back wall.

From the East or West
Take 195 to 95 north, and exit at the Broadway exit, exit 21, and bear right before the light as you come off the exit ramp. Continue through another light, where you will see the Holiday Inn and the Civic Center on your left. The road curves to the right and at the next light you will see the back of the theater building, with two large wire theater masks on the wall.

From the Northwest
Take 146 south to route 95 south. Exit at the Atwells Avenue exit (Exit 21). Turn left at the light, and cross over 95. You will see the Holiday Inn and Civic Center on your left. Turn left at the second light and you will see the back of the theater building, with two large wire theater masks on the wall.

From the Train Station
Take a left out of the train station, and make a left on to Francis Street. Continue past the mall on your left, and through the light. At the next light, make a right on Washington St. The front of the theater is a few blocks up on the right.

From Kennedy Plaza (Bus Station)
With Fleet Skating Center to your right, walk straight up Washington St. The theater is a few blocks up on the right.

Parking

Parking is limited in downtown Providence. A parking garage is located next to the theater with entrances on both Fountain and Washington Streets. A parking map for downtown Providence is available at here.
