Senior Experience Designer
Crystal Rome is fascinated by how human behavior, the economy we are creating, and the decisions we make interact to shape our future.
She received her MFA in Collaborative Design from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Collaborative Design fosters creative practices that require collaborative, experimental, and interdisciplinary approaches to problem solving. Using complex systems modeling and user centered-design, she cultivates an entrepreneurial and critical approach to meaningfully address the emerging challenges of the 21st century.
Crystal is from Boulder, Colorado where she attended the University of Colorado and receive a double BA in Classical Archaeology and Anthropology. Her background includes fine art, environmental restoration, organic farming, and playing accordion in a gypsy bluegrass band. She is always curious and looking for simpler ways to accomplish everyday tasks. Joining BIF is an exciting next step in an ongoing quest to investigate the edge of what is possible and find ways to wrangle large scale challenges into human scaled action.
